Nazarenko L. «UKRAINE IN FLAMES» A. DOVZHENKO PIECE ABOUT THE TRAGEDY OF THE UKRAINIAN PEOPLE
The outline of the lesson is designed for 11th grade teachers of Ukrainian literature. The outline of the lesson includes the principles of student-oriented studying; helps to formconscious perception of mental and ethicachievements of students-readers. The educational objects are clearly defined as a whole and in components, there is anobvious link with the previous knowledge of students. The optimal content is defined in accordance with the requirements of the curriculum and tasks of the lesson. Theefficient and optimal methods (verbal, visual and practical), including ICT are chosen.
This option will allow students to aware the ideological and artistic content of the film story and its problems deeper, to perform a number of literary synthetic steps with the originaltext, to understand the author’s position. Also it provides different skills: to see the main thing, to solve problems, to take responsibility, to improve their own skills in workingwith information sources, to develop coherent speech and creative thinking, to educate patriotism, national pride and consciousness.
The student has to achieve certain goals: to interpret the novel "Ukraine in flames"; to recognize its characteristic features of the genre, to determine the ideological and thematic focus of the novel; to express his thoughts about something he’s read or about problems; to compare characters, their actions; to own skills in working with different sources, to visualize material, to participate in the writing tests, using creativity, intellectual resources, knowledge of original text.
Tasks: to retell the story about how the novel "Ukraine in flames" was written and published; to read the text carefully, to comment on the basic fragments, the phenomena of life, events, people in the context of universal concepts and values; to improve ability to distinguish the leading motives, problems and discuss them from the nowadays point of view, to discuss relevance; to argue their own thoughts, to illustrate them with examples from the text.
Materials and software for the Literature lesson: a computer, a text editor program for creating multimedia presentations.
